SCHEDULING AND BOOKING POLICIES

We look forward to recording your session at Igloo Music!

Our studio scheduling and booking policies are outlined below.

BILLING

  • All bookings have a one-hour minimum, and are billed in hourly increments.

  • All sessions are billed for the time booked and confirmed, regardless of if the session wraps early.

  • All sessions must be confirmed via email at least 24 hours prior to the session start time.

  • If the session goes over the booked time, clients will be billed for the extra time in 30 minute increments. The ability to go over booked time is dependent upon studio availability.

  • Any sessions in progress, or starting, after 6pm are considered OVERTIME and are subject to an additional $50 p/hour fee.

CANCELLATIONS

  • In the event a session is canceled by the client, the following fees will apply:

    • less than 24 hours before session = the client is responsible for paying for all the confirmed time.

    • 24-48 hours before session = the client is responsible for paying for 50% of the confirmed time.

    • 48+ hours before the session = no fee

STUDIO HOLDS

Session holds serve the purpose of reserving time in an available studio. A hold is not considered a booked session until the session time is confirmed via email. All holds may be challenged when another client is ready to confirm time and there are no other available holds.  We ask that you confirm or release your holds by 5pm the night before.  We will send out a reminder email at 2pm, then will automatically release at 5:30pm.

CHALLENGES

If there are no available holds remaining, any new client may challenge an existing hold provided they are able to confirm the session.  Once confirmed, Igloo Music will contact clients with pre-existing holds and give them 24 hours to either confirm, or release their hold.

If the client releases their hold, then the challenged time will be moved to the new client. This is considered a “successful challenge”, and the client who won the studio time is fully responsible for paying for the booked time.

If the client with the hold confirms their session, then the new client challenging may request to challenge another time instead.
